Native American exhibit/presentations in November

November is Native American Month!

To celebrate, the Roz Steiner Art Gallery and Alfred C. O’Connell Library are hosting a series of presentations and events starting with the opening of an exhibit of regional artifacts loaned from the Rochester Museum and Science Center,

As well as artwork from Carson Waterman and heritage quilts from Faye Lone:

“Celebration of Native American Heritage”

 NOVEMBER 10
12:30 – 2pm & 5 – 7pm in the Art Gallery  – Receptions w/ Carson Waterman & Faye Lone
7pm in room T102 – Gary Sundown presentation on Native American film

NOVEMBER 15
12:30 – 1:30pm in the Art Gallery – Terry Abrams presentation on Native American Veterans
7pm in the Art Gallery – Gary Sundown presentation on Native American film

NOVEMBER 17
12:30 -1:30pm in the Forum – Wayne Abrams dance presentation
7pm in the Forum – Native American Social

NOVEMBER 22
12:30 in the Library – Corn Husk Doll workshop (limited seating for 20)
12:30 – 2pm in the Art Gallery – Story Teller & Writer Joe Bruchac
7pm in room T102 –Story Teller & Writer Joe Bruchac

NOVEMBER 29
12:30pm in the Art Gallery – All Things Lacrosse: Nek Jonathan presentation on stick making
