David Schirm, painting professor at the University of Buffalo Department of Visual Studies, will discuss his artwork in the Roz Steiner Art Gallery at 5:00 pm on Monday, September 17, 2012. This lecture is part of Elizabeth Gemperlein’s Drawing 1 class and will be open to the public.
Schirm taught at Carnegie Mellon, the University of Cincinnati, UCLA, USC, and Otis Parsons before UB. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. He has also received two Fulbright Fellowships, and a NYFA fellowship. Major exhibitions include The Carnegie International and Directions at the Hirshhorn Museum.
