The tour will integrate a Sociology course and a Digital Photography course, collaboratively taking each course to a higher level of understanding and conceptualization, as we explore Amsterdam and surrounding areas. The study abroad tour will include 6 academic credits for two courses, Social Problems and Issues–Documenting Dutch Culture and Society and Digital Photography.  The study abroad experience will be an intriguing exploration of Dutch culture utilizing social comparisons and observations as a platform for peer discussions and self-expression through photo-documentaries of the experience. The trip includes two service learning projects in Amsterdam. The students’ experiences will culminate with a Gallery Exhibit upon return to the United States.  The program is faculty led by Josephine Kearney, MA, and Heather Jones, MFA. The program is jointly sponsored by The College at Brockport and Genesee Community College. The program is administered by The College at Brockport.
