Swati trained as a classical musician, transforming her focus in the Lower East Side NYC music scene where she has lived up to her name, meaning “birth of a star” in Hindi. Using a twelve-string guitar fitted with eight strings, she employs open tunings and plays through an assortment of effects pedals. She sings and plays in a style that is gripping, percussive, honest, and contains hints of her Indian heritage.
Together, these two acts should produce a night packed with originality and talent!
