  • Silent Auction of special memorabilia and gifts from New Orleans and WNY / Forum, 6:00-7:30 p.m.
  • Documentary presentation “Resilient and Ever-Changing: Louisiana’s Struggle to Rebound” by Lori Mould and featuring students who participated in the Alternative Spring Break Program with trips to New Orleans / Stuart Steiner Theatre, 7:45 p.m.
  • Mumbo Gumbo featuring New Orleans Funk / Stuart Steiner Theatre, 8:00-9:30 p.m.

 Saturday All Day (2/19/11), Starting at 8:30 a.m.

  • Coffee station featuring New Orleans Begneits – Theatre Lobby / 8:30-9:00 a.m.
  • Welcome and documentary presentation “Resilient and Ever-Changing: Louisiana’s Struggle to Rebound” by GCC student and trustee, Lori Mould with fellow students who volunteered in New Orleans as a service learning project. / Stuart Steiner Theatre, 9:00-9:30 a.m.
  • Pete Nunually, Episcopal Community Services of LA, highlights the volunteer efforts of what really happened before, during, and after hurricane Katrina. Includes Q&A / Stuart Steiner Theatre,  9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
  • Diane Huhn, Bayou Grace Community Services, presents the loss of LA wetlands and the ramifications.  Includes Q&A / Stuart Steiner Theatre 10:45-11:45 a.m.
  • Louisiana Style Box Lunch – Café-Style / Forum 12:00-12:45 p.m.
  • Captain Wendy Billiot, former oil and gas industry employee presents the threat to the region’s wetlands and the poisoned landscaped after Katrina. Includes Q&A/Stuart Steiner Theatre 1:00-2:00 p.m.
  • Raymonda Dennis, Sociology Professor from Delgado Community College City Campus, New Orleans, La. Includes Q&A / Stuart Steiner Theatre 2:15-3:15 p.m.
  • GCC student reflections on their alternative Spring Breaks in Louisiana / Stuart Steiner Theatre 3:15-4:00 p.m.
  • Zydeco dance exhibition and lessons with Rochester Zydeco Dance Troup / Forum  4:15-5:15 p.m.
  • New Orleans Dinner Fair / Forum  5:30 – 6:45 p.m.
  • Mumbo Gumbo – opening act featuring New Orleans Funk / Forum  7:00-8:15 p.m.
  • LeeRon Zydeco & the Hot Tamales / Forum  8:30-10:00 p.m.
  • Café Du Monde Station for dessert / Forum  9:30 p.m.
